Roses on the Ocean Walk – World Suicide Prevention Day

An annual community event where we invite community members to walk with us to remember those we have lost to suicide, their families and friends, to acknowledge those who have attempted suicide and those with thoughts of suicide. Registered participates received a rose to place in the ocean.

R U OK Day

RUOK? Day is an important day that reminds us to check in on our mates; our activities change from year to year however they often include working in partnership with cafés to distribute KitKat’s, encouraging people to take a break and check in with a mate, as well as working alongside relevant agencies to engage community directly. We have been involved in RUOK DAY activities for several years and will continue this into the future.

Let’s Chalk About It

An annual community event that invites people of all ages to join us in painting the Wetlands path with chalked artwork and messages of hope and inspiration. We know that at any time we can feel overwhelmed and perhaps even alone; what this event does is brings people together to connect and share in spreading the love with the hope that those that walk the path are positively impacted by the messages left behind.
